WINGED BEAUTY // Director's Cut
The film was conceived as a visual Haiku to promote the launch of the book and exhibition “Winged Beauty”, an unprecedented study of one of Chan’s main motifs - the butterfly - which, in Chinese culture, is one of the most recognised symbols of love and immortality and have been reincarnated time and again through different art forms. The flowers are entirely shot under UV light, poetically replicating the UV vision of the butterflies. UVIVF is a specific photographic technique that has rarely, if not never, been used before for moving images. Award-winning fashion film. Street art, as with fashion, is about expression. It’s about creating something different, inventing your own style and making your own rules to visually represent who you are. Your individual style can convey who you are, what you stand for and how you wish to be perceived. They both help to stand out as an individual and not get lost in the mess of media, social pressure and conformism. DEGAS DANSE DESSIN
An excerpt of the videos created and directed by Martina Margaux for the exhibition "Degas Danse Dessin" on board of MSC Grandiosa. "Degas shattered the unity of 19th century painting. Offset views, oblique perspectives and photographic tilts became his new way of looking at the world. Degas' works became cinema on canvas, moving picture stills on paper."
A summer dreamlike afternoon a spirit of the Nature came to greet us. That ephemeral, that powerful. In summer evenings blue, pricked by the wheat On rustic paths the thin grass I shall tread, And feel its freshness underneath my feet, And, dreaming, let the wind bathe my bare head, I shall not speak, nor think, but, walking slow Through Nature, I shall rove with Love my guide, As gipsies wander, where, they do not know, Happy as one walks by a woman’s side.
